Rooted in truth-telling and community healing, this powerful short documentary explores the ongoing impacts of intergenerational trauma and the mental health challenges facing Indigenous youth today. Through heartfelt interviews with Cecile Smith, Calvin George, and Jaida Moore.
The film offers a deeply personal and honest look at how trauma is carried, how it impacts mental health, and how healing can begin. Healing is possible, and we are not alone.
"Oskâyak" — meaning “young people” in Cree; is more than a title. It’s a declaration of identity, belonging, and the creative power of youth reclaiming their narrative through film!
